Crazy Life

In the book The Outsiders there is a lot of things that happen, so in this book I was told to tell different between the two people and the things that
are the same so the people that I am doing is Johnny and Soda-pop.
Soda-pop: Soda-pop is a good person in a way, Soda-pop dose not drink but he dose smoke but he rarely smokes, Soda-pop dose not like to read “he has never cracked a book in his life”, Soda-pop lost his parents in a car crash and now darry his brother is in charge, soda-pop has movie star handsome looks, Soda-pop is always happy-go-lucky no matter what happens, Soda-pop is very laid back and never likes to do anything as in helping around the house, and Soda-pop in “skinny” has sensitive face, dark-gold hair that is comb back, long and silky and straight, in the summer the sun bleaches his hair into a shining wheat-gold, and Soda-pop is 14 years old.

Johnny: Johnny is the gangs pet, no one will lay a finger on him “if you can see a little dark puppy being kicked to many times and lost in a crowed of strangers you will find Johnny”, Johnny has been beaten up by the socs, Johnny has killed a soc, Johnny smokes more then Soda-pop, Johnny parents are alive but ignore him like is was never born, after Johnny killed one of the Socs Johnny ran away, and Johnny is 16 years old.
The same about Johnny and Soda-pop: Johnny and Soda-pop are both greasers, Johnny and Soda-pop is part of a gang, Johnny and Soda-pop both smoke, Johnny and Soda-pop both have tough homes, and Johnny and Soda-pop kind of likes the movies.

Comparing Johnny and Pony Boy in The Outsiders

Pony boy is a boy who reads books a lot. He also watches movies, too. He gets
good grades in school too. He likes his hair cut but no one else does. His parents are deceased and he is living with his two
brothers Darry and Soda-Pop.
Johnny is a boy whose parents are alive but ignore
himL. He is Age 16. He looks defeated and has been beaten up one too many times.
The things that are the same about them are that they are both greasers. The
both have tough homes. They both smoke. Both feel like they
are unloved. And
have nowhere to go.

Megan's Veiw XD

Wow lol JOHNNY killed a soc sweet innocent johnny lol... and they end up in the hospital after saving kids out of a burning church !! TALK ABOUT HERO'S!!! :P

Taylor .B. :)

CHAPTER 1: The book is good so fare its getting very interesting. The first chapter was about introducing the characters like Pony-boy, Sodapop, Darry, Dally, Two-bit, ther all "Greasers". The Socs are from the “richer” part of towen and get kikes from beating up greasers ther like the bad gys in the book. The firs chapter is also about Ponyboy getting beat up by the socs. The socs take out a blade and Pony-boy bites one of the socs. Then Pony-boy’s “friends” come to save him. That’s when you get introduced to the characters.
CHAPTER 2: PB, Darry, Dally went the moves and met some girls there. They where girl socs. There names where Cherry and Marsha. PB is kind of nerves about talking to the girls at first but then when he acutely talks to them there not that bad. But Dally insults Cherry dumps pop on him and he leaves with anger. PB realizes that the girls are as stereotype as he thought.
Its a good book but with lots of exciting beggings and endings

I think that the fourth chapter was mainly about the word drama. Drama has a big hit in these last chapters. First Johnny kills a Soc, and he also stabs one. Ponyboy gets beaten up and he almost dies, just because the Socs want the girls. The Socs compete for girls, basicly. The greasers fight back for self-defence. Lets hope if there's more action in the next chapters...

.........

Reading this book has given me many thoughts and wonders in life and i can kind of compare myself to ponyboy and johnny....it sounds weird but its true... and iv also thought about how johnny killed bob i mean like i know he didnt mean to and that it was very wrong to have done that but what people have to remember is that when someone is getting hurt or something if you think there isnt a way of helping think harder and if that one person who is getting hurt is close to dieing think about what you would do and how you would feel in that position.....but think fast..... its not good to be treated that way and most of the people that are being treated like that i feel very sorry for and if there was something i could do about it i would becuase i dont like the fact that people are getting put down and everything else like that beacuase of the way they dress or the way they look or anything because to me every person here has there differences and everything but the way i look at it we arent all that different....becuase together our heart beats as one.....
I think that in chapters 1-4 are really interesting, I mean i have never read anything like it because it has.....Entertainement, Interest, Emotions, And everything you can imagine, Like its the most interesting book i have EVER read....

Wow that is definitely not something I was expecting, especially Johnny of all people, killing a soc, a soc! Like wow! I am really curious to see what is going to happen, as in that Cherry is a “spy” I am also pretty curious to know what is going on with Cherry, and that Dallas had said that the police were going to Texas, because that is apparently where Johnny and Pony boy are, this book is getting better every chapter. Even though pony boy had run away because of darry hitting him, I know that darry still loves him and considers him as family, well because he is his brother, but that his brothers still really care about him, and what had happened is probably really hurting darry, he probably somewhat feels responsible, but also pony boy shouldn’t have stayed out late, I know he fell asleep but since he was feeling sleepy he should have gone home, but its not entirely his fault, darry shouldn’t have hit him, but pony boy shouldn’t have run away, so they are both held responsible, but also Johnny had maybe have done the right thing, he was feeling threatened because of them pretty much drowning pony boy, but also going to hurt him, so murder isn’t the right thing, but also he was sticking up for himself and a friend. I can’t wait to read what is going on next. I’m almost tempted to read ahead which I have done but since we read it in class, its kind of better then reading it at sections, because when it starts to get good you get left hanging, and well I like that because then I usually most likeley think of it more as in what is going to happen. =)

Chapter Three And Four Of Megans Veiw :)

In chapter three and four Johnny, pony boy, Two-bit and dally meet two girls from the socks group named cherry and Marcia. The girls and boys are at the drive in movie. Their boyfriends were getting drunk so the girls decided to dump them. Dally started being a snob to the girls and tried to pick them up. He asked to buy them a drink of coke and they turned him down flat. He came back handed the girls the drink and cherry threw it in his face. Then dally left. Marcia and Two bit were hitting it off perfectly. And Johnny was actually kind of talking to cherry a girl for like the first time. Then in chapter four the boys get into a lot of trouble. Johnny and pony boy are walking from the movies with the girls and two-bit when the socks pass by then go and then they come back and take the girls. Later Two-bit leaves and its just Johnny Pony boy. Those two end up falling asleep in a vacant lot. When Johnny wakes up pony boy goes home. When pony boy gets homes darry and soda are waiting for him in the living room. That’s when darry starts to yell at him and ends up slapping him. So pony boy runs out of the house in a hurry and tells Johnny their running away. Johnny doesn’t say a word. Then the socks see them by a fountain and they start to fight and pony boy backed talked one of them and the soc started drowning him and when pony boy awakes by the fountain he sees the dead socks body lying on the ground Johnny had killed him. They end up finding dally and running away to the country in a Church that’s super old.

Chapter 1: Their were allot of people. In this chapter the people was Pony-boy ,Johnny,Darry, Sodapop,Two-bit, and Dally. Pony-boy was the fourteen, Sodapop was sixteen, Two-bit was almost eightteen, and dally was only seventeen. At first i did not like this book but then the book grow on me and i started to like it and now i want to finish the book can't what.

Chapter 2: Darry,Pony-boy,and Johnny meet to girls names Marcia and Cherry. Darry was being very mean to Cherry and Marcia and wanted to by the two girls a coke but Cherry said thet she would never drink the coke and Marcia did not say anything. Darry bought the two girls a coke and Charry did not drink the coke she trough it right in Darry's face but Marcia did drink the coke.

Megans Comparing Veiw

Comparing Darry & Soda Pop….

Darry and Soda Pop are two very caring brothers who live to protect pony boy from danger and help him make good choices in life to succeed, although they are a couple of greasers. Darry’s descriptions of his facial features are blue eyed, long hair, and never smiles. Darry is firm, tall, buff, a little bigger than skinny, wears a t-shirt, jeans, boots, and a leather jacket or sweater.
Darry is a cold hearted twenty year old boy. The reason he is always frustrated with pony boy is because pony boy doesn’t think before he does anything and darry didn’t get to succeed in his football scholarship. The only person that can make darry laugh is soda pop. On the other hand soda pop is a very easy going guy. Soda always smiles and is basically happy all the time. Pony boy says that soda pop is handsomer than anyone he knows. Soda is skinny but buff, and has dark gold hair that turns lighter in summer; he has gorgeous dark brown eyes to compliment his hair. Soda has a sensitive face along with other features. Soda dropped out of high school to work at a gas station to help provide the family of three brothers and to help with pony boys schooling. Soda always sticks up for pony boy. Soda was considering marrying sandy. Soda had a horse that he looked after and rode when he can: named Mickey Mouse. And he rode Mickey Mouse in rodeos until the horse got sold. “You don’t ever think” darry broke in. Soda was glaring at him “Leave my kid brother along, you hear? Darry looked as if he’d like to knock our heads together “You’re both nuts”. Soda merely cocked one eyebrow, a trick he’d picked up from two-bit. “It seems to fun in this family.”

So far The Outsiders is a good book, It’s not as good as the book Im reading now at home, but I still really like it, I would call it one of my favorites, It teaches you a lot, and is a good example of how you should treat others, and treat people the same way you would like to be treated, even if they are different because nobody is the same. There is always at least 1 thing different from one another. I personally wouldn’t like to be in the situations Pony boy gets into, like living where he lives, and having to carry around a switchblade, and get jumped by a higher society, and getting called a “greaser”. I personally really hate that, I don’t like when people use the term “Greaser”, and how the Socs criticize how long there hair is, or because they don’t have as much money as the Socs, like big deal, it matters what’s on the inside. I kind of don’t really like how Cherry said that she wont say Hi to him, probably because she doesn’t want her rep to be ruined, but so far I really dont like the society she is in (SOCS) I think its pretty cool that she would talk to him, just not cool that it had to be in private. I think it would be hard to lose a parent, let alone two at the same time. I feel sorry for Soda, Darry, and Pony Boy, they have it pretty rough, and the fact that Darry hit Pony Boy, I don’t think violence is the answer, its better to talk things out, yeah they might not go exactly how you want it, but it you can usually always make ends meet. I also really like how they give full descriptions of the characters and what is happening, I may not be able to relate to it but I can sure feel like Im there. I haven’t finished reading the book, which is something I would like to do; I can't wait to finish the book. =)

Good start, Outsiders bloggers. Now you need to work on editing your work before you blog by using WORD to type your comparison paragraph, making sure you use the spell-check and grammar-check tools along the way. I will show you how. Then you will copy it over to your next blog on this site. Have a great Outsiders kind of day....(you know, where you get to know people looking past first impressions....:)

I think the book is very good so far even though we just finished the first two chapters. I don't think i would ever want to live in a place where gangs are really big, and also to know that sometimes you cant walk home because gangs will come and attack you on the streets. (scary) I like the book.
I think the outsiders is a really good book. Even though i have only read the first two chapters i can already tell that it will be great. I cant wait to see what other interesting things im gonna learn about well reading this book.
hi everyone this blog is so cool
in the first chapter they give you a brief description of the main characters throughout the book... dally is apathetic of the trouble he gets into... and Darry is very confidential of his feelings... pony boy is smart and is still in school.... two bit is the drunk of the pack... johnny is the worrier...soda pop is the protector of pony boy... and Steve is soda pops best friend... the boys get into lots of trouble throughout the book... the second chapter dally pony boy and johnny meet some girls named cherry valance and Marcia at the movies.... dally was being a total jerk to the girls and cherry was very mad with it.... Marcia was having a ball with two bit... and johnny finally had courage to back talk dally to leave the girls alone in peace.... and he started talking when the gang thought he'd never talk after the jump and beating the socs gave him and his parents beating on him all the time... he did not like his living conditions....

Taylors Point of view

I really like this book. i havent read it all but the chapters ive read are pretty good. there very discriptive, I like how pony boy discribes the characters, gives you pretty much a full seeing of the characters and how they are, and maybe some people can relate to them. This book sends out a good message, and i see the message as... All people are different but that doesnt matter, its whats inside that counts. I cant wait to finish the book :D
:) The Story Was Very Good.... I liked It Alot.... people Should Treat others lke family... Cause friends are family that you choose.... :)
It is a good book.

Post for Angie McNiff

It explained the characteristic and personalities of the character very well. The plot of the story is very good. My favorite characters are Ponyboy and Cherry. The story sounded fun. This is the best book I have ever read. By Angie McNiff

beckys veiw of the chapters (1-2)

I thought the chapters (1-2) where kind of amazing!! Its was cool because they have differant names like Ponyboy, SodaPop and Dally. It was a lil scary because there where some fights....
I thought these chapters ( 1-2 ) were pretty intereting. There is Ponyboy, and Dally, and Two-Bit, Johnny, and Sodapop and lots more. I like it because there is fights and greasers and socs ( whatever those are ), plus it teaches you that you don't have too be popular to have fun or friends
The Novel Is Goooodddd :) It Teaches you about treating others the way you want to be treated and not judging people on their appearance or their way of living.... the respect and care for ponyboys family is amazing by the way their living conditions affect the way that people think of them as greasers... they want to be just as normal and as smart as the socs but instead just by what group their in their judged...

The Outsiders, chapter 1-2

Ponyboy leads us into his world of teenage angst amidst the tumbleweed of a dusty mid-western town in the 60s. It's a sterotypical oxymoronic story of hope against reality as Ponyboy's gang known as the Greasers try to survive in a world where their opposites and betters the Socs seem to rule the day. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending upon your viewpoint, Ponyboy isn't one of the usual Greaser gang members; he reads, does well in school, and can actually converse with Soc girls without insulting them or scaring them off. We soon learn that steroptyping people is a dangerous and entirely misleading exercise in human insecurity that threatens to doom the Greasers and the Socs to a life less lived and less liveable. If only they could all climb over the wall they build between themselves....
